The USC basketball team did not have a good season after having sky-high expectations coming into the year. They finished near the bottom of the Pac-12 standings, and they failed to make the NCAA Tournament. After bringing in the top recruiting class in the country, the season was a major disappointment. Head coach Andy Enfield is no longer with USC, and with that, players started to enter the transfer portal. One of those players is Kobe Johnson, and he is headed to crosstown rival UCLA basketball.

This is a huge get for UCLA basketball, especially right after snagging Skyy Clark in the transfer portal from Louisville. The Bruins also just had a disappointing season, and they are looking for a bounce back next year. The offseason is off to a good start.

“NEWS: Kobe Johnson, the No. 6 overall transfer in the portal, is transferring from USC to UCLA, he announced,” Travis Branham said in a tweet. “Big get for Mick Cronin getting an impact defender and an offensively versatile wing.”
