The 2024 NBA playoffs are officially underway. Over the next two months, a field of 20 teams will be dwindled to one NBA champion. This past week saw the play-in tournament and Round 1 of the playoffs beginning.

The Golden State Warriors’ run could be over. After a play-in tournament blowout loss, the trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green could’ve played its final game together after a near decade of dominance and glamor.

Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics started their quest for a championship with an easy Game 1 win over the Miami Heat. Jimmy Butler suffered an MCL sprain that will cost him the first-round series.

Injuries piled up this week as Zion Williamson also suffered a hamstring strain that’ll likely keep him out of the first round in the New Orleans Pelicans’ play-in tournament loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Let’s look at Thunder Wire’s latest NBA power rankings of the 20 teams that participated in the postseason from April 15 to April 21.
