The NBA is often seen as a place where extracurricular activities on the court don’t happen nearly as often as they did in the 1980s, 1990s, and early 2000s. Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors and Patrick Beverly of the Milwaukee Bucks stand as contrarians in that particular case, judging by their antagonistic on-court behavior over the years.

Recently, Green called out Beverly for antics he says are ‘out of line’ in a video clip posted to Twitter. Greens’ comments came during the Bucks’ playoff exit at the hands of the Indiana Pacers, setting up a Pacers-Knicks second round showdown.

Beverly was criticized by Pat McAfee among several other commentators for hurling the basketball at a fan. An ESPN reporter broke the silence on a Beverly locker room incident with the Bucks that has made national news headlines.

Green’s comments on Beverly were shared at-length and now fans are wondering exactly what might happen next.

Green, Fans React to Beverly Antics

The Draymond Green comments were shared via a podcast from TheVolumeSports. Green spoke candidly about the NBA’s rules, where they can be bent, and how Beverly crossed the line in this particular situation. Beverly threw the ball at a fan and also told a reporter should couldn’t ask him a question because she was no subscribed to his podcast.

“Good reaction,” one fan said in response to Green’s comments.

“I don’t want to hear anything from Draymond Green,” another fan said.

“This dude needs to stop telling others how to behave,” still another reader added.

Green is famous, or perhaps infamous depending on your perspective, for hitting, tripping, or punching opponents, or doing other things of that nature, and is no stranger to controversy. He even punched his former teammate Jordan Poole in the face during a a pregame exchange of comments that culminated in Poole being traded from California’s Bay Area NBA team to the Washington Wizards.

“This is a pot kettle meme if I’ve ever seen one,” another fan added.

NBA Playoffs Continue Without Bucks

Friday’s NBA action includes games between the Magic and Cavaliers in the East and the Clippers and Mavericks in the West, with 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. ET tip times, respectively. The Bucks are now left to pick up the pieces after losing to the Pacers with Giannis Antetokounmpo sitting out the final and decisive game.

Whether Beverly is part of the team next year remains to be seen, but he is currently drawing more attention to the Bucks than any other player, including prized offseason addition Damian Lillard.
