Recap: OKC Blue blows out Austin Spurs again in 126-106 win

The G League’s OKC Blue swept their mini-two-game series against the Austin Spurs with a 126-106 blowout win on Monday. The home win improved the Blue’s record to 11-11 on the season.

This was the second straight blowout win for the Blue over the Spurs, who also defeated them on Friday.

The Blue built a 25-18 lead after the first quarter. A 37-point second frame by OKC helped enter halftime with a 62-45 lead over Austin.

The third quarter saw the Blue score 31 points and enter the final frame with a 93-74 lead over the Spurs. OKC led by as many as 24 points in their 20-point win over Austin.

The Blue shot 46% from the field and went 15-of-39 (38.5%) from 3. They had 30 assists on 42 baskets. Seven Blue players scored double-digit points.

Meanwhile, the Spurs shot 41% from the field and went 6-of-27 (22.2%) from 3. Five Spurs players scored double-digit points.

Some notable individual performances for both sides:

  • Ousmane Dieng: 21 points on 7-of-12 shooting, 2-of-3 from 3, seven rebounds, five assists
  • Keyontae Johnson: 17 points on 8-of-18 shooting, 1-of-7 from 3, seven rebounds, three assists
  • Lindy Waters III: 13 points on 4-of-9 shooting, 1-of-4 from 3, four assists, four rebounds
  • Adam Flagler: 12 points on 4-of-14 shooting, 3-of-7 from 3, eight assists, four rebounds
  • Dominick Barlow: 30 points on 11-of-19 shooting, four rebounds, two steals
  • David Duke Jr.: 20 points on 5-of-9 shooting, 12 rebounds, three assists, two steals
  • Sidy Cissoko: 14 points on 5-of-16 shooting, 1-of-6 from 3, five rebounds, four assists, two blocks
  • Mamadi Diakite: 12 points on 3-of-10 shooting, 10 rebounds, two blocks
