Recap: OKC Blue wins high-scoring affair over Salt Lake City Stars, 139-129

In a high-scoring affair, the G League’s OKC Blue outlasted the Salt Lake City Stars with a 139-129 win on Friday. The road win improves the Blue’s record to 3-9 on the season.
This was the second consecutive game at Utah for the Blue, who lost on Wednesday as their comeback attempt fell short.
The Stars’ successful first frame helped them end the quarter with a 38-33 lead. A strong second quarter on both ends helped the Blue quickly flip the scoreboard and never relinquish the lead the rest of the way. OKC outscored the Stars, 37-18 in the second frame to enter halftime with a 70-56 lead.
The Blue added to their lead with a 37-point third quarter. A 40-point final frame by the Stars helped turn a 21-point deficit into a respectable 10-point loss.
The Blue shot 56% from the field and went 19-of-36 (52.8%) from 3. They dished out 33 assists on 51 baskets. Seven players scored double-digit points.
Meanwhile, the Stars shot 52% from the field and went 15-of-40 (37.5%) from 3. An 18-of-26 night from the free-throw line hurt Salt Lake City’s comeback attempts. They had six players score double-digit points.

- Brice Sensabaugh: 27 points on 8-of-14 shooting, 5-of-8 from 3, 5-of-6 on free throws
- Taylor Hendricks: 16 points on 5-of-9 shooting, 2-of-6 from 3, four rebounds, three assists
- Jason Preston: 12 points on 5-of-10 shooting, 12 assists, three rebounds
